Cultural activities

Culture at UNIGE

The Cultural Service of the University of Geneva offers a wide range of events and activities across various artistic fields. Subject to availability, all cultural activities at UNIGE are open to alumni at preferential rates.

Particularly renowned due to the three founding figures who established it over sixty years ago—Claude Goretta, Alain Tanner, and Jean Mohr—the University Film Club, named Ciné-club universitaire, presents three annual cycles of film screenings. Equally unmissable are the performances by the University’s Choir and Orchestra at the prestigious Victoria Hall, showcasing the musical execution of great symphonic or choral masterpieces.

Registration

To register for the cultural activities of the University of Geneva as an Alumni, simply request a “confirmation d’appartenance” (Alumni UNIGE Membership Certificate) to our association via email (alumni@unige.ch). Forward this to the Cultural Service team, who will then activate your Alumni status on their platform.

The certificate needs to be updated each calendar year. Please remember to contact us a few days before the start of the courses!

Subscribe to the Cultural Service newsletter

A variety of events, exhibitions, performances, lectures and screenings are organized regularly throughout the year. To stay informed of all their news, we invite you to subscribe to the weekly newsletter of the Cultural Service by registering your email address on culture.unige.ch.
