BENEFITS

University sports

The University Sports service is continuously expanding its array of activities for students, providing a comprehensive selection that combines fun with athleticism. University sports include a range of options such as rowing, rugby, cardio funk, padel tennis, pilates, swimming and more.

Subject to availability, most university sports activities are accessible to Alumni UNIGE members, with many offered at preferential rates. Our members can also benefit from several offers provided by external partners, along with the popular ski camps.

Registration

To sign up for sports activities, Alumni UNIGE members must log in to the member area of our platform with their Alumni access codes. Then, they should go to the left-hand menu and click on the “Sports” tab. They’ll be redirected to the UNIGE Sports page, where all the sports activities open to members are listed.

Culture at UNIGE

The Cultural Service of the University of Geneva offers a wide range of events and activities across various artistic fields. Subject to availability, all cultural activities at UNIGE are open to alumni at preferential rates.

Particularly renowned due to the three founding figures who established it over sixty years ago—Claude Goretta, Alain Tanner, and Jean Mohr—the University Film Club, named Ciné-club universitaire, presents three annual cycles of film screenings. Equally unmissable are the performances by the University’s Choir and Orchestra at the prestigious Victoria Hall, showcasing the musical execution of great symphonic or choral masterpieces.

Registration

To register for the cultural activities of the University of Geneva as an Alumni, simply request a “confirmation d’appartenance” (Alumni UNIGE Membership Certificate) to our association via email (alumni@unige.ch). Forward this to the Cultural Service team, who will then activate your Alumni status on their platform.

The certificate needs to be updated each calendar year.

Please remember to contact us a few days before the start of the courses!

Subscribe to the Cultural Service newsletter

A variety of events, exhibitions, performances, lectures and screenings are organized regularly throughout the year.

To stay informed of all their news, we invite you to subscribe to the weekly newsletter of the Cultural Service by registering your email address on culture.unige.ch.
